Hellenikos Ichnilatis (Hellenic Hound) is a breed internationally recognized by the F.C.I., classed in Group 6, since 1959. There are numerous references to its existence over the centuries. It is employed as a hare hunter and has a highly developed sense of smell. It is a short-haired, medium-sized dog. The Greek Harehound has been exported to other countries such as Finland and Denmark.
